Don't leave anything out and be very detailed.

When you are single and you are just entering that point in your life when you want to find that special someone, the best thing you can do for yourself and that person you wish to have in your life is to put God first. Let Him seek out that special someone for you. Don’t be quick to jump into any relationship until you know that God is telling you it’s ok for you to give that person a chance.

You’ll know when God is telling you it’s ok for you to seek that person. When you go somewhere in private and talk to God, tell Him exactly what you are looking for in a person. Don’t leave anything out and be very detailed. This is a very important step because you are asking God to send you someone who you might end up spending the rest of your life with. So, make sure you know what you want before you go to God with it. That is the very first step in having a successful relationship. Put God first and let him seek out that special someone for you. If you try to seek this person out for yourself you are more than likely going to fail at this because Satan comes in all kinds of disguises. And only God above can see through anyone and anything. Only God knows the thoughts of a man or woman for that matter. Only God knows what that person’s intentions are. Whether they are only trying to hurt you or not. So first know in your heart that you can trust God to fully make this life decision for you.

After you pray to God about who you wish to be with and what kind of person you want to be with, the next thing you should do is to let it go and trust in God to bring that specific person you prayed for to you. You will know because only you and God know what you asked for. Be patient with God and with yourself. If this doesn’t happen for you right away don’t worry. God knows how precious your heart is and He does not wish to see your heart broken. That right person that you prayed for will come at the right time because it will be in God’s time. It’s ok to go on dates, but don’t give anything that shouldn’t be given until that right person that God wants in your life comes along.

When that person you prayed for comes into your life know right off that it will have its ups and downs. And through it all make sure you always keep God first and in the center of your relationship. He will continuously guide you and show you what you can do to make that relationship stronger and He will also tell you where it went wrong at and what you can do to fix it. There were so many times in my relationship that my partner got angry with me about something. And instead of us arguing about it we just gave each other time first then we would talk it out. So when we finally did talk it out, God would have already revealed to me what the problem was before my partner was ready to talk it out. That’s just how amazing God is. I promise you it works.

For the ones that have already had their share of bad relationships see it as a blessing in disguise. You now know what you really want and don’t want. You know what to stay away from and what to hold on to. But most importantly you know to put God first. That’s the only way any relationship or marriage is going to work,

Now how do I know all of this? Because I have been through it already. But when I first started out I didn’t know what I wanted. I was afraid to commit to something that would eventually be wrong for me. I had already been hurt before I even considered being in any relationship. So, I turned to the only one that I knew for sure didn’t one, hurt me, and two, He knew how to truly love me. So, in my heart, I knew He would find me someone who could love my heart as much as He loved my heart. So, I got alone with God in a room and I took my time and had a long talk with God. I told Him exactly what I wanted and what I didn’t want in a man.

After I told God what kind of person I desired to have in my life, I let it go and trusted in Him to send that exact person I prayed for to me. As the opportunity came to date men, I knew what I requested of God. When I didn’t see that in that person I was dating, I kindly let that person go. When he did come, I knew it in my heart, because I felt it strongly. And any time an obstacle tried to stop us from being together or trying to get to know one another, God always made a way for us to come together again.

To this day, I and my husband has been together for twenty- one year and we dated for eight years before we decided to have a child together. And our love for each other is still strong in the Lord God. It’s only because of Him that we are still together. Because if we would have done it on our own we would not be together. The obstacles that we faced with God, we couldn’t have gotten through them on our own strength.

So, whatever point you are in your life, if God isn’t first, put Him first. Because if anything comes against you in your life, that thing will have to face God first. You can trust Him. He will fight all your battles for you. It will not be an easy road to travel, but always know that when you have God first in your life you will not be traveling that road alone. He will always be there with you and for you. Be blessed.

There are many different styles of poetry that a writer can write. And many do not require a poem to rhyme. Many poems give a writer the freedom to flow with their words. Although free verse does not have to rhyme, they still have the option to include it in their poetry. Free verse was first used in the 1900’s by a poet name Gustave Kahn. I feel that a good poem depends on the mood of the writer and what topic they choose to write about. There are over fifty types of poetry. Even I can’t name them all. But a list and samples of those types of poems can be found at https://examples.yourdictionary.com/types-of-poetry-examples.html

But the one style of poetry that I write most is the free verse. Free verse does not require your words to be written in any special way. It can rhyme or not rhyme. Either way it is still artistic writing that comes from the writer’s heart. This type of writing has been around for hundreds of years. I love for my mind and my fingers to freely let the words flow.

Free verse is a spoken or written form of communication that can be musical effects of rhythm and sound. There were a few poems that I had written that I decided to make into music. And it sounded good. I love the fact that this style of poetry writing gives you the option to go in any direction that you want to go with your poetry.

But surprisingly, most writers do not consider free verse poetry to be “free”. T.S. Eliot wrote, “No verse is free for anyone who wants to do a good job.” But, to me, it all depends on your love for writing. It can be as free as you want it to be, and still be the best job you have ever done.

Even though free verse has no rhythm, when a reader reads the free verse poem, they can hear the rhythm of the words that has been used in the writer’s poem. A poet can create whatever rhythm they want to when they free verse.

In conclusion, free verse poetry does not follow any rules. It is free to go in whatever direction the writer wants it to go in. Free verse is based on a writer’s own rules and personal opinions or thoughts. The poet has the right to create the structure to express certain sounds and words. So, of the fifty different poems that is out there, free verse is just what it says. It is freedom of expression in whatever fashion that you wish for it to have. So, follow your heart and free verse away!

When we think of church we see a building with a cross. We see church pews and a pulpit. We see everything that goes with the term “church”. But did you know that we are the true church? God is not leaving it up to the benches and the pulpit to go and spread the gospel of His great news. He wants us to go out and win lost souls. He wants us to invite people to Christ. God wants us to share our stories, our testimonies, and the amazing things in our lives that God has personally done for us. By sharing, He can also do for those who do not know Him.

If We Are the Church It Requires Us to Renew Our Mind

If we are the church in this world, it will often require us to renew our minds daily in the Lord. Satan will come after the children of God and we must always be prepared. The word of God has everything we need to defeat the enemy.

God knows what we are up against in the world. So, as we represent Him, God promised us that He would never leave us nor forsake us. And He is a God of His word.

Living in The Peace of God

To be the church requires us to walk in the peace of God which also requires us to walk in love. To have peace with others requires you to first have peace with God. He will teach us how so that we can know how to be in peace in love out in a hurting and lost world.

Problems will come during our journey in the Lord. But we have the full power of God dwelling in the inside of us. It is time for us to spiritually grow up and use our faith to trust and believe in God in whatever we may face in this world. God will never give us more than we can bare because whatever we may have to bare in this world He will bare it with us.

We will never run out of the power that God has given us because the spirit of God that is within us is being renewed every day. And it will continue to be renewed if we spend time in the word daily. Be determined to have more of God in your life and less of yourself.

So, as we strive to be God’s temple, God’s “church,” we should also humble ourselves and submit ourselves to God. Continually resist the devil and he will flee. Whenever we choose to humble ourselves before the Lord God, we put ourselves in a position to receive more from God than what we even asked for. Because God knows what we need before we even ask. Always put your trust in God and use the word to come against Satan whenever He tries to get in your way of doing the will of God. God has everything you need to defeat the enemy. Just stay in the word of God and continue to represent Him.

Growing up in church I come to realize that it takes more than just “going to church” to really know God. I went to church for many years and didn’t really grow spiritually until I was 39. I went to over five churches before I finally found my church home at The Word Christian Center. It was then that I started to truly learn of God and find myself in Him. Things that I would talk to God about in secret He would put it in the Pastor’s heart to preach on that exact thing, giving me answers that I was seeking from Him.

When my mom passed away January 14, 2014 I started seeing things in the spirit. I felt as if this was a part of my spiritual growth as well. But I started learning on a deeper level.

My Very First Vision

One vision I experienced was when I was in the living room of my dad’s house one night and I saw an angel in all white coming from the back of the house where my mom was in the bed sick. This happened days before my mom passed away. It made me feel like God was letting me know my mom would not be with us much longer. But I knew in my heart that when she did pass away she was at peace and her suffering was over.

My Second Vision

Another vision I experienced was the night I was laying on my couch listening to gospel music. There was a bright light in the room and two or three seconds later it was gone. I wondered then whether I saw God or an angel. It happened so quickly that it literally left me wanting to know more about my Heavenly Father.

There were a few more I had, but these experiences alone made me realize that I needed more of God in my life. I wanted to know more of what I was experiencing. It is so true what they would always tell me, you cannot know God if you do not know His word. I knew once I read the word of God then I would find the answers I seek.

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God (John 1:1).

KJV

During my walk with God blessings started to come into my life. But I allowed it to pull me away from God and I temporarily lost my way. But God waited for me with open arms and it helped me to see how deep God’s love for me truly went. He blessed me to go to the 2018 Women of Worth Conference which helped me to spiritually grow and to find my place in Christ as a woman of God.

So spiritual growth in the Lord requires us to have a personal relationship with God and to read His word daily for us to personally know Him and His love for us. It is a true guide through life for us and answers questions that life has placed before us.

Becoming a published author for the first time is an exciting experience. But you still must walk in with knowledge of the publishing industry. You must fully do your research and follow a step by step plan on getting your book published so you will not literally walk in with your eyes closed and fall prey to publishers that are only scams. They only seek to steal your work and make their own profit from it.

Research: Verifying the Publisher

The first thing you must do during the publishing process of your book is to do your research. Find out which companies you wish to publish your book with or that is accepting your kind of book. After you have your list of companies that you wish to investigate, check each company with the Better Business Bureau. I also called the copyright lawyer and asked them a few questions about the publishing companies that I was interested in publishing my book with. After you get the okay then the next step is to pick which company you wish to publish your book with.

Selling Through a Publisher

After you get the approval from doing your necessary research, then your next step is to send off a sample of your writing to the company of your choice. Make sure your manuscript is exactly as they want you to have it before you send it off. When you find a publisher that accepts your manuscript then you will move on to your final stage of becoming a published author. That final stage is promoting yourself. Never leave all the work to the publisher. Keep up with your own sales and never ever fully depend on the publisher to do everything for you. I made that mistake and did not get what I should have gotten from all the sales that I made from my very first book.

Promoting Your Book

As a first-time author I did not know how to go about promoting my book. I did the worst thing I could have done and let the publisher do all the work for me. Doing this did not get me any profit let alone sales. A year passed before I finally had the common sense to post my book on social media and that’s when I started getting all kinds of sales on my book. I made over thirty sales on my first promotion which was on Facebook. I sold so many copies of my book and still did not receive a royalty check. The publishing company claimed that if I purchase my books from them then I do not get a royalty check. I did not do everything I needed to do to make sure that I was going about this sale of my book the right way.

Even though I was so excited to get my very first book published, I was not happy with the results of how it all went. And even though I did my research at the beginning I shouldn’t have stopped there. I should have done my research all the down to the sales and the payment of my royalty check. With all the sales that I made of my book I should have gotten something. But I learned from my mistakes and I will be very prepared for the publishing of my second book.

Self-Improvement is something that is possible to do. But the first step towards making an improvement in your life is to always, always, always put God first and then find out what you feel needs improving. But God will also let you know what you can do to make changes for the better in your life because He knows us all better than we know ourselves. The word of God is the best place to start on the road to self-improvement. It has everything you need in any area of your life that you wish to improve on.

Beginning on the road to self-improvement is something that should not be done through other people’s opinions. It will eventually lead to regret and disappointment because you followed someone’s opinion rather than following your own heart on what you want to change about your own life. Go to the truth, which is the word of God. It can help you in any area of your life. Change what you can or what God is showing you and give what you can’t change to Him. God will either fix it Himself or show you exactly what you need to do to better handle that area of your life.

One scripture in the bible can be used to start fresh in your spiritual walk which will definitely lead you to self-improvement.:

2Corinthians 5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

KJV

This scripture alone gives you the right to start over fresh. Everything up to this point is forgiven and forgotten and you have the opportunity to start over and improve your life with God. You are now a born again christian. This time you can do it with God instead of without Him.

Other ways that can help are reading books. Reading spiritual books or listening to other men and women of God preach will help you to increase in wisdom.

Another way is to continually speak positivity into your life and into other people lives. Spending your time helping others, praying for others, or doing anything that can uplift someone else will help you to improve in areas of your own life.

Exercises, or yoga can help you to self-improve as well. It will free your mind and your spirit of things that are cluttering your mind. It will help you to focus better on what it is you need to do.

Another way is to overcome your fears or anxiety. Fear alone will hold you back from accomplishing so much in your life. Fear will give you every reason to quit or not to go after what your heart is telling you to go after. Fear is only false evidence appearing real. Fear is just a lie from Satan to keep you where you are in your life. It does not want to see you happy and at peace. And the best way to tackle this is through the word of God.

So, in conclusion, we should always have God as our first place to go to for self-improvement. He is the only one who knows us better than we will ever know ourselves.

How To Have A Strong Marriage https://fightbyfaith.com/how-to-have-a-strong-marriage/ https://fightbyfaith.com/how-to-have-a-strong-marriage/#respond Sat, 22 Apr 2023 00:40:35 +0000 https://fightbyfaith.com/?p=539 , God is the witness to the words that were spoken between two people when they got married to one another. And God sealed them.

The post How To Have A Strong Marriage appeared first on Fight by Faith.

]]>
Marriages is something that has been taken very lightly in the world today. So many people are not willing to do what it will take to make it work. They are quick to call it quits and end everything in divorce. God does not approve of divorce. It can work if you want it to and if you allow God to come in and do His part.

Marriage is defined as two partners that are legally joined together in union or a personal relationship between themselves and God. When two couples say “I do”, they are sealing a covenant between themselves and God. It is a covenant that is made between themselves, God, and their children or future children.

Ephesians 5:25: “For husbands, this means love your wives, just as Christ loved the church. He gave up his life for her.”
Genesis 2:24: “Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and they shall become one flesh.”

KJV

Marriage according to the word of God means that these two people are now one flesh. There is no longer an I but a we. God’s desire for marriages is to prevent couples from going down the path of divorce, which seems to be the easier way out when we do not care to deal with the problems that come with marriage. We allow the problems to distract us so much that we do not take the time needed to see the solution to the problem that God tries to show married couples.

God is the one thing in a marriage that can take care of the many issues that married couples face. If married couples can take the time needed to study the word of God together as well as individually, it would be easier for couples to deal with their problems, because they know to go to the word of God where the answer to their problems are. The word of God should always be the final authority for every decision that we make. Whether it is together with our spouse or individually in our one on one time with God. No matter what you may go through in your marriage, you can back everything up with the word of God. It will never lead you wrong.

According to the words of Prophet Greg G. Green, God is the witness to the words that were spoken between two people when they got married to one another. And God sealed them. So it is better to not tamper with these words that were spoken. You should not try to chance these words. If you change these words you’re going to change the mindset then you are going to change your actions. Now you are on the path to a divorce.

“God is the witness to the words that were spoken between two people when they got married to one another. And God sealed them. So it is better to not tamper with these words that were spoken.”

Prophet Greg G. Green

You should not try to chance these words. If you change these words you’re going to change the mindset, then you are going to change your actions. Now you are on the path to a divorce.

Our success in having a strong marriage lies in our cooperation with God. If we yield ourselves to God in spite of our circumstances then we can overcome any seemingly impossible situation.

I never thought I had another side of me. It is a part of me only God knows about. The part of me only God has control of. I never knew about it until I gave my life to Christ. No one likes this side of me because it’s not the worldly me, but the spiritual me. My eyes have been open to many new things. For too long I’ve been living with this other me that people had no problem accepting.

This other me have many things the old me never had. Like Jesus, joy, peace, love, hope, faith, grace, and many more. I never knew about any of this until Jesus found me and invited me to a better place. And now that I’m here I never want to go back to that old side of me. This other side of me can stand no matter what the world does to keep me down. This special love I feel I know can only come from God. Sometimes it seems too good to be true, but I know it is because He lives in me.

The old me felt like she had no one. But this other me know that I have Jesus on my side when the world seems to come against me. The old me wanted to do things her way and never seemed to ever get it right or thought she had it right since it was her way. But this other me have God to guide me, so I know I’m going down the right path. The old me couldn’t see anything because she lived in darkness and couldn’t see the answers to her problems. But this other me has a shining star in the darkest night. Jesus takes my hand and keeps me steady. In the face of a storm I’m always ready. This other me is strong and bold and has a love for Jesus that will never die.

With Jesus in my life I’m higher than high. And He will someday take me above where I can live in heavenly love. I can accept this other me even if no one else can. I’m more than what I thought I was. Jesus understands me better than I do or anyone else understands me. Someone who loves me.

Many times, Satan has tried to get me but through it all I’m still standing. God has given me the power to overcome anything. And whatever Satan takes from me God said He’d bless me with it a hundred times more.

So many things seemed impossible to me and God always had a way. He’s always willing to take care of me and take care of my problems. And it doesn’t cost me anything. He paid the price for my sins when He died on the cross. With Jesus there’s always a way. And if anything is too difficult for me all I must do is give it to Jesus and I know it’s already taken care of. It would be great to share Jesus because then more people will be saved and can go to heaven and live with Jesus. They will no longer have to live their life trying to get people in the world to accept them. It’s nothing like this place. It is so much better. And when you are in Christ no one can do you any harm, not even Satan.

Since I’ve lived in this other me, I never feel I must please anyone, just tell him or her about Christ. And live according to His word. I never feel I am less that who God has made me to be. And with Jesus in my everyday life, I feel so free. God never said it would be easy, but if you have the mind of Christ it will be was easy as it was for you when you were living in your old self. And whatever your heart wants, just trust in Jesus and He will bless you with that and many more.

I enjoy talking to God because I know He is always there listening and understanding me. He never criticizes me or lets me down. I love no one more than I love Jesus, because no one can treat me better than Jesus can. I can cry on His shoulder, I can tell Him my secrets, I can laugh with Him, I can get Him to understand me and no matter what I do God never thinks less of me. As long as I have Jesus in my life I know I have everything. And as long as I’m on this earth Jesus is the only one I will ever count on.

When I gave my life to Christ it was the best thing I have ever done in my life. And it is something I will never ever regret doing. And I will let Him know how much I love Him because He loved me so much that He died on the cross for me.

Life with Jesus https://fightbyfaith.com/life-with-jesus/ https://fightbyfaith.com/life-with-jesus/#respond Fri, 31 Mar 2023 23:55:33 +0000 https://fightbyfaith.com/?p=522 Life in the flesh and life in the spirit are very different. Here’s a few of the changes I have been blessed to go through in my life.

The post Life with Jesus appeared first on Fight by Faith.

Life with Jesus is so wonderful. When I changed my life from doing things my way to doing it God’s way, I realized that it was the best thing I have ever done in my life. I feel free from so many things that I allowed myself to be weighed down by. Sin had me thinking that I had no way out, but God took my hand and led me in another direction. Life in the flesh and life in the spirit are very different. Here’s a few of the changes I have been blessed to go through in my life.

I went from Satan to Jesus, bondage to freedom, darkness to light, confusion to understanding, friends to enemies, terrible life to a wonderful life, not knowing Jesus to knowing Jesus. I could go on and on because when you become a part of Jesus you will receive endless blessings.

I learned that when you give your life to Christ people will treat you different. They will treat you like dirt. But guess what? Jesus was treated the same way. But who, in the end, went to a better place? Jesus will give you what you need to get through this sinful world and go to heaven where His Heavenly Father is.

Life with Jesus is so great you will want to invite those who do not know Him. You will start to realize you have the power God has given you to face ANYTHING. You can even save those that are lost. God gives everyone a choice. Him or Satan. Heaven or Hell. And if you don’t know then either go to someone who knows, go to church, or read the word. But God will always make a way and He always has a way. He will know if you truly want to give your life to Christ.

And don’t think you can fool Christ because we are the ones who are learning and just beginning. And you can’t keep anything from Him. Giving my life to Christ is the best decision I have ever made. He didn’t say it would be easy, but it will be easier than doing it all by yourself. Anything you can’t handle you can just give it to Jesus and He will take care of it for you. He will even show you how to handle the situation yourself.

This just gives you the opportunity to grow in Him and to know how to handle situations differently now that you are in Christ. Just believe and accept Him into your life. There’s nothing hard about it unless you make it hard. He can also be your mother, father, sister, and brother. Uncle, friend, anything you don’t have on earth. And Satan can’t even touch you because God protects you.

So life with Jesus is life everlasting. And no matter what you go through you will always have a reason to be joyful and thankful. And you will never get tired of thanking Jesus, because blessings will continue to come and it will constantly let you know just how much God loves you. And let Jesus know you love Him because He loved you so much that He died for you.

This article is discussing the hardships and challenges of a single parent. I interviewed two single moms and this is what they had to say about their life as a single parent. They also offer some helpful advice for young single moms that are just getting into the role of being a mom. To be the mom and dad to your child or children is definitely no easy task. Here are their stories.

Mom #1

Hi, My name is Betty, I have two young men. I had my first son when I was 22 and 4 years later I had another son. When I first became a single mother of two boys at the age of 26, I was devastated. I was staying with an older sister because I feared staying on my own, the job I was working was paying under minimum wage, also had to lean on the government for support (food stamps) but I made everything work. For a while me and my boys were comfortable and happy. Until, My oldest son hit his teenage years and wanted more than what I could give him. I finally came to terms with myself. I had Social Anxiety also was insecure about my skin tone. I have worked with kids almost all my life because I felt/feel like kids genuinely appreciate you as a person and they are honest.

I love building their self esteem up to be all that they can be in life. My peers on the other hand made me feel like less than nothing. On my quest to finding myself, so I can support my boys better. I was used and my kindness was taken for weakness, bottom line. I lost control of my life. It’s 2020 now and at the age 42, 43 in July, I can FINALLY, after years of mental abuse from my peers, have full control of my life and my boys are back on track, HEADED in the right direction. My advice to single parents. Always take care of home before impressing the streets. These kids didn’t ask to be in this world. So, as parents we really need to step up and be everything that our child/children need. Never let the weight of the world take your focus from the real reason you get up and make it happen. And that reason is your own flesh and blood, your child/children.

Mom #2:

Life as a single Mother of 1 to sum it up in one word was HARD. It made me very grateful to be blessed to have only one child. Nothing was ever given to me. I worked and used whatever resources was available. For example, food stamps, welfare, housing, city bus etc. But I will say that I thank God for all my negative situations and hardships in my life because it actually helped to make me want to strive and make a better life for me and my child so he wouldn’t be subjected to the lifestyle I had as a child. I tried to surround myself with positive things and people and do positive things as well. But as we know God always have a plan for everyone. Though my child may not be perfect, I am proud all the same and by God’s grace I will continue to put one foot in front of the other and keep praying for a better day. The advice I would give single young parents is to always think positive and surround yourself with positive people. Talk to people who build you up and want to help you, not people who are always tearing you down and last but not least do positive things, don’t wait on people to do things for you, get up, get out and make things happen for yourself, because as long as you know that God is for you, it doesn’t matter who is against you (Romans 8:31).
